Hi everyone, todays post is about waterfalls. I find that they are a good place to go and read as its so peaceful, you can get lost in your own thoughts, a place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. I love waterfalls and think they are just magical places to be. Here are a few waterfalls that’s amazing.to see.
1. Arenal, Guanacaste, Costa Rica
Arenal Guanacaste is situated in the beautiful rainforest in Costa Rica, that is just a tropical paradise, with its gorgeous waterfalls and hot springs. Its a place that everyone would love to escape too. A vacation heaven that leaves you not wanting to get back to your home life. Head inland to see the Volcan National Park for those of you that likes hiking, and want to capture the stunning landscape views.
2. Bigar Cascade Falls, Romania
Bigar Falls is located in the western part of Romania that is nicely nestled inside Nera Beusnita Gorges National Park, The fall gives off a nice effect with its rounded stone that is cloaked all over with vibrant green moss. The water flows gently over the rounded stone and breaks into a thousand little streams that gives you the impression of a glowing effect, as soon as they touch the water.
3. Cummins Falls, Tennessee
Cummins Falls is located in Jackson County, Tennessee, just a mere drive away from Nashville. This particular waterfall feels just like Eden, with it’s mesmerizing to see. You can take a dip in its waters, hike and camp nearby or just take a day trip, whilst there soak in the views and capture the breath-taking landscape.
4. Gullfoss Falls, Iceland
Gullfoss Falls is Iceland’s most iconic waterfall, a true indication of the natural, ice-toned beauty that is found throughout the country. For the best effect is to view it from above and you will capture the real beauty of it.
5. Havasu Falls Arizona
Havasu Falls is located in the Havasupai Indian Reservation in Arizona USA, it is within the Grand Canyon National Park. The vibrant blue water along with the striking red rocks, provides us with a captivating aura of beauty. It is one of the most remarkable waterfalls with views that will leave you feeling breathless when looking from above.
6. Iguazu Falls, Borders Brazil and Argentina
The Iguazu Falls is a beautiful waterfall that’s part of Iguazu river and is situated on the border of Brazil and Argentina. This fall is the largest waterfall system in the world, despite lying mostly on the side of Argentina, and leaving the rest of the fall in Brazil.
7. Niagara Falls, Borders New York and Ontario
Niagara Falls is among one of the best waterfalls in the world. The Niagara Falls is a collective name for the three waterfalls that is located at the border of New York, USA and Ontario, Canada. These waterfalls have the highest flow rate in the whole of North America. This is one of the top attractions to go and see in both the US and Canada. To get the best out of the Niagara Falls it is recommended seeing it from both sides.
8. Plitvice Falls, Croatia
There are many tourists that travel to Croatia for its sandy beaches, which means that the falls might get overlooked. Plitvice Falls is part of Plitvice Lakes National Park (the largest National Park in Croatia). It is a superb sight to see that’s hard to pass up seeing. The parks many waterfalls flow into a series of mesmerizing, teal blue lakes
9. Thor’s Well, Oregon, U.S.A.
Thor’s Well is located off the coast of Cape Perpetua in Oregon. The rush of water is going down what appears to be a bottomless hole, that’s never ending. Whilst you’re there, you can spot Devil’s Churn, where the waves crash against the Spouting Horn and the rocky shores and where sea water shoots up into the air.
Tip: Thor’s Well isn’t marked. To find it make your way to the park at Cape Perpetua Visitor Center, then take the Cape Cove Trail (The staff at the visitor center are always happy to point you in the right direction). It is dangerous to get to close to Thor’s Well, especially when the tide is high, so try to plan your visit an hour before the high tide to get the best view possible.
10. Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world, making it the largest waterfall in the world, that’s when you consider its height and width together, It is located between Zambia and Zimbabwe, that’s situated on the Zambezi River. It is one of the world’s widest waterfalls as it measures more than a mile across. It is also one of the most powerful ones as the noise of the waterfall can be heard for several miles. Whilst there you can have a truly unique experience by swimming in Devil’s Pool at the top of the fall.
