Will Ferrell

Hi everyone, Hope you are all well. Firstly I must apologise for not posting last week, I was so poorly that I couldn’t write my blog, I must admit that this week’s post was a struggle to do, as I am still under the weather, but I did receive some exciting news last week, that I thought I’d share with you and that is my eldest daughter and her husband are expecting their first baby, so a big congratulations to them both.

Today’s post is about Will Ferrell, I thought that I would do it about him as it’s his birthday today, so happy birthday Will.

Biography

Born John William Ferrell on July 16, 1967 in Irvine, California USA to parents, Betty Kay (Overman) a teacher, Lee Ferrell, Jr., a musician. His parents were originally born in Roanoke, North Carolina. His father was a keyboardist and saxophonist for The Righteous Brothers. Will as one younger brother Patrick Ferrell.

While he was still a baby, he had to undergo surgery on his upper right abdomen, to treat the condition Pyloria Stenosis, which causes frequent vomiting, and all he is now left with is a scar.

Will is not your typical comedian that would act up in high school by being the class clown, he was a scholar and athlete, someone that kept his head down and worked hard. It was during his time at University High in Irvine that he became interested in performing arts and it was also where he would make his daily announcements over the tannoy, and address the students in disguised voices.

He graduated from the University of Southern California, with a degree in sports information. Will wanted to go into sport broadcasting, but that wasn’t to be. Then he became a member of The Groundings in Los Angeles, it is a comedy/improvisation Group, where he met fellow cast members Maya Rudolph,  Tina Fey, Amy Poehler along with his former Saturday Night Live (1975)  Jon Lovitz, Jimmy Fallon and Tracy Morgan and it was also where he met his good friend Chris Kattan. This led to him doing both television and film work.

Will met his future wife, Swedish born Viveca Paulin during acting class in 1994. From that day on, there destiny was set and they finally got married August 12, 2000, now they have three sons Magnus Ferrell born March 7, 2004, Mattias Ferrell December 30, 2006, and Axel Ferrell born January 23, 2010.
